Children’s Ministries at First Church Lex provides exciting opportunities for children and youth from birth through 5th grade. We are excited to partner with parents, grandparents, and foster parents to help children become faithful disciples of Jesus. We provide meaningful and engaging programs that include choir, bells, & chimes on Sunday mornings, faith development programs on Wednesday evenings during the school year, summer camps and special events. Our goal is to surround all children with a loving and devoted community where children experience significant relationships with people of all ages and a profound sense of belonging. It is our hope that families grow together on their faith journey to connect with God and neighbor, to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God, and to love and serve our neighbors!
Children, ages 8 weeks through 2 years, are welcomed at First United Methodist Church in our Nursery. Our nursery provides an engaging and fun experience where infants and toddlers can begin to experience how much God loves them.
Kids, in preschool (4 years old and potty trained) through 5th grade, experience engaging and meaningful Bible lessons through exciting crafts, games, activities and service projects. It is our goal for every kid to know that Jesus loves them and has an incredible plan for their lives.
